Tbh, so far, I think lemmy has the least amount of toxicity of any social platform I’m on! Maybe we’re browsing different corners of it, hahaha

Well I explain myself the “lack of toxicity” with moderators without boundaries. Most instances are extremely strict and are trying to create “safe-spaces”, where their (mostly political views) are unchallenged.

And unsurprisingly Lemmy has been flooded with radical leftists and the radical right. Same what already happened to mastodon.

So I do not consider Lemmy a low toxicity platform. Quite contrary. All the normal people, the average people, have stayed on Reddit, because they don’t really care too much.

So what views are you seeing being excluded?

What politics are you not seeing represented?

Because I have a feeling I already know lmfao

I’m mostly browsing memes, tech and nsfw here - all quite apolitical (some memes are, but I ignore that stuff).

Interesting point. I’m sure there are also people who just like the idea of federated platforms, like myself. I ascribed the lack of debate to just how new the paltform was. In general, I agree, if there’s no debate, it means that one of the sides is supressed.
