      I would always be suspicious about the power dynamic in these cases. Was the woman sleeping with him because of him or his position as an officer? Did she felt like she could not say no? Did he had allegations against her that extorted her? How consensual was the sex really?

      In every position where one person is in a potential role to have authoritarian power over the other, sex is a slim walk between voluntarily and pressure. We do good in a society where a person you have to obey is not allowed to use it to pressure the other gender into sexual act because of his position obedience. That is corrupt behavior. This goes for police, teacher, professor, bosses, judges, etc.

    I worked with an ex-cop as a security guard who was fired after his cruiser camera recorded him having sex on the hood of said cruiser. He also talked one of our coworkers into giving him a blowjob in the guard shack.
