      no he should not have. again it was a time were some compromises could come about and not the cluster of dysfunction we had today. don’t get me wrong it was well on its way but there was at least at that time some hope for it. It did not get totally buried until obama.

          Your dragging all sorts of things into it (other members of congress). It was a veto proof majority and acting like dick republicans of today would not have helped 30 plus years ago. You seem to have no concept of that time period at all.

              the democrats follow the law and don’t try to cheat like the republicans. put the blame on the criminal and not the person who failed to protect the victim ehough. this is just so rediculous.

                  this goes back to the democrats not being as bad as the repbulicans. They just have not manipulated the rules in their favor the way the republicans have and retain historical norms longer. Yeah they eventually change do to repbulican dickish behavior but they would not be a better party by beating them to the punch on that.
