What is Proton? Is it jut the standard Steam Deck or a custom build? Sorry for bothering but I was considering getting it during the Summer Sale mostly because I’d love to be able to play it on my Steam Deck too.
Proton is what Steam uses to play Windows games on Linux. It essentially encapsulates the game with the Windows or equivalent system assets that the game requires to run. If you’ve heard of WINE before it’s a custom build of that.
Also for any linux gamers it runs perfect on Linux/Steam Deck using Proton 8.0-2

Have you had any luck with multiplayer online? I have yet to get a single match on SteamDeck or PC.
I don’t have any interest in online play so I have no clue how it’s doing unfortunately
