I was watching the DS9 finale and I just realized Nog, who went to the academy halfway through the series, got promoted to lieutenant before Harry did.
I guess it makes sense, in the Alpha quadrant Starfleet has unlimited new ensigns. But voyager way out in the middle of nowhere only had Harry, if he got promoted there would be nobody to clean the holodeck filters

I’m betting the holodeck filters are very sticky.
We’ve all seen Tom’s fetish programs. Even the captain has her holo beau. It’s canon that Tuvok used the holodeck for sufficient relief from pon far.
And who knows what Seska did down there.
