It’s amazing what Valve has done for Linux on the game front. I switched to Linux in 2005, and back then it was so bad, you practically had to dual boot to game. When I stopped dual booting, and went heavy with custom Wine configurations for each game, it was still like a walk in the desert.

Now Linux gaming is absolutely amazing IMO, maybe not quite on par with Windows, but sometimes it actually works better on Linux for old games, because compatibility with old 32 bit Dos based Windows, is better with Wine or Proton, than using original Windows later than Windows 98.

It’s great to see so many games, including new games being verified. I have moved all of my gaming devices over to Linux and have almost no issues playing games.

I’m glad to see it. I have been using Garuda and Endeavour OS machines as my daily drivers and haven’t been happier. Nowadays I really can’t even tell the difference (game incompatiblities aside).

With the “Cloud Windows OS” news recently makes me happy that I got away from it completely (a few games and software aside).

        It’s amazing.

It has the ease of console with (nearly) the library of PC.
I’ve been able to play current AAA titles, and the original Monkey Island.
It can Emulate pretty much everything the console market has as well (I mean, the stuff that a PC can emulate No Xbox One / Series X/S or PS 4/5).

And two features that don’t seem as useful as they are.
It’s a dedicated device for gaming
        Its sleep mode works well

This means I can just pick it up, play for 10 Minutes until I get called to do something else again, pause, put it to sleep, and pick it up a week later.

Its absolutely that good. Yes sometimes you need to tinker but there are very active communities to help even install non steam games. I bought early as i was very hopeful and now i game on it more than my desktop by far. Lounging, dock to tv, on a plane im a huge fan
