    Why does it matter though?

    If more of their active users are trolls, that shouldn’t help the site.

      Money. It always matters because of money. More active users means more ads which means more money. Don’t vicariously donate to these assholes.

        But if the site were to become inundated with leftist degeneracy, it could scare away right leaning advertisers. Call it a reverse Twitter.
