First good Superman film since Christopher Reeve.
It perfectly encapsulated what makes Superman great while retaining humor and not going all grim-dark stupid as DC live action films are prone to do.
I liked the movie, but I have to say that none of the main actors came close to the 1978 cast.
The best things were Guy Gardner and Mr. Terrific.
Oh man, Gardner with his bad haircut just being a dick… so great.
And yeah, Terrific absolutely was. I loved that scene at the beach camp.
Terrific was top notch, especially in the after credits scene. I really hope that he’s going to be in Justice League when it finally gets put together.
I really hope that he’s going to be in Justice League
Don’t you mean Justice Gang? ☜(゚ヮ゚☜)
That’s a horrible name Guy!
Given the characters in Superman, and the upcoming planned movies, I think we’re getting the Justice Society of America! (of which Mr. Terrific is a member)
I would be excited by that but with Guy I keep thing of the early Justice League International series in the '80s. That was the League he was big in and the humor of DeMatteis and Giffen seems like something that Gunn would be into. I just think if your trying to get a more diverse roster for the league Mr. Terrific is a much better fit then Cyborg. Sadly if your looking for an African-American DC hero, there really are only 3 or 4 big hitters and John Stewart is already going to be in Lanterns.
Cyborg is cool. Cyborg is a great character. I am tired of seeing that motherfucker in every DC hero team.
I think there is a legitimate argument to be made that Cyborg is most interesting character in the Teen Titans, (or even the early 20’s Titans or what ever they call them after only beast boy is still a teenager) but he’s supposed to be a YOUNG man and shoe-horning him in to the adults of the Justice League was just ham handed and stupid.
I thought Gene Hackman made a terrible Lex Luthor.
He had zany, madcap schemes that just happened to work. He didn’t seem to be smart, let alone a genius. That’s the script.
And as an actor he was just goofy Gene Hackman, barely acting at all.
Makes sense, it’s a great flick
Is this a continuation of another story like or is this another reboot
Reboot without the origin story. Very nice.
Reboot, and relatively early career Superman.
