Laughed at meme, but also noticed the keyhole shaped mount orientation on the lower, doomed, mannequin.

The big part of the hole where the screw head or equivalent mount is always the bottom. You put the hole over the screw head and then move it into the narrow part. Since the lower mannequins narrow parts point down that means if you tried to mount it on a wall it would need to be upside down.

It is probably for mounting face up flat on a table so the orientation doesn’t have an up or down when it slides into place. But at first I was like ‘cool, you can hang these up when not needed’ before noticing the orientation.

So that’s for mounting to a training stand so, for example, the class can see what the the instructor is trying to teach them, while keeping the dummy from constantly sliding around.

Sometimes they’re also used for attachments.

It’s not meant for mounting to a wall- though sometimes they’re stored that way. (Also. If you’re thinking BJs, you should know it’s a rubber skin over a rigid plastic shell, with plastic bag-lungs and a hinge that will break your dick if you forget the head tilt. Yeah. We fired that guy.)
