They’ve come up with a script. Warner Bros. is incredibly interested in doing it. Apparently, it’s waiting on Mr. Spielberg to read it and improve it, but, you can thank the success of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
This is interesting because director Joe Dante purposefully made Gremlins 2 really wacky so they they couldn’t make a third film.
I pray to every god that it is the Red Letter Media script.
But why tho?
Because money. Nostalgia prints money.
But… Gremlins was a shit movie. Who has nostalgia for garbage?
Gremlins was fun and Gremlins 2 was a masterwork of camp. I only hope they make Gremlins 3 even more stupid and over the top.
He never anticipated how wacky actual reality would get.
Gremlins 2 was really wacky? I remember it being really dumb.
