The letter targets my wife’s background. We both feel uneasy about this, and feel like our privacy was invaded.

I am going to dig into this, but isn’t this illegal?

Looking at elections Canada it states the ways one can advertise their campaign and personalized letters sent directly to a voters address is not included as an option.

I recommend going to the media at the very least with this one before election day.

        Yeah that’s my understanding too.

I used to get ones from the Tories a few years back, looks only (ignoring content) this is somehow tamer, those looked like Peter Popov mailers complete with the random fake pencil scrawls in the margins, highlighting and blue ink underlining.

I was aware of the information they have access to, and the information made available. It is troubling though that I have yet to find a direct answer on direct mail campaigning. At the very least it is a grey area being taken advantage of but I was sure it was against the law to be this direct and use that much information on a voter.

The media would probably eat this up, it would be hilarious if this ended up hurting the conservatives even more (not that they need it).

I think the Conservatives need all the help they can get regarding being hurt in the election. It is honestly a little sad that the Party still holds this much support when Pierre could not sound any more like Trump if he tried.
