I was completely behind the Death riders angle. A tough group causing chaos and running roughshod over everyone is my thing. And I though the way they were handling it with a heap of others banding together to try to fight back was working.
Turning it into a Mox-Cope tit-for-tat has done nothing for anyone, and I don’t even bother watching their YouTube catch-up clips anymore.
The whole Death Riders thing has felt super awkward. I really like the idea of it, like you said, a group of tough bad guys running roughshod over everyone, and forcing others to unite against them is classic, but it feels like the story keeps pivoting and pivoting to the point that I don’t know what the purpose is supposed to be anymore, let alone the payoff.
All the individual components have been great, Mox, Claudio, Pac, Marina, Yuta, Cope, but it’s like putting M&M’s and Gummi Bears in a meatloaf.
