Since they are changing the OS and not the kernel? Unless they are leaving GNU as is and changing the kernel, in which case it actually is a distribution of Linux.

But the main difference between distros isn’t their flavor of GNU tools or what kernel they ship, the difference between distros is actually all the stuff that gets layered on top like the package manager.
