This is as good as a signal as it gets. Do not visit the US. If anyone can be whisked away with no consequence, its not worth the risk. Might as well be travelling to North Korea.

How is this the last straw? Being run by literal Nazis seems like a good line. Fucking over their allies, threatening sovereign nations with takeovers, black bagging their own citizens, like do people have no principals until they are directly affected?

PS Fuck the Australian government for bending the knee on tariffs. COWARDS.

Bruh. People started boycotting US travel long before they targeted Canada directly. The simple fact is that now its a direct threat to an individual’s personal safety. If you cant make a distinction between those things youre kinda fucked.

Alright, this is it, I’m fucking pissed. America is an enemy state now, full stop, no take-backsies. I can never look at that country the same ever again.

“We’re revoking your work visa because you don’t have a proper letterhead.” Fuck this bullshit. Fascists.

The extreme fascist BS appears to be at this Tijuana/San Diego crossing so far. German tourist story referred was detained for 29 days until her return flight to Germany because she had a tatoo pen/supplies on her that “proved” intent to work illegally.

Counting on Florida tourism to not get attacked by Gestapo is not worth the risk.

I mean yes that is normal. Not the 29 days but I sure looked like she was working why else would she bring her tattoo stuff? And yes giving a friend a tattoo is considered working.

Her story was that she was tatooing people in Mexico, not US. I believe barter/favours are permitted by tourists.

You might also expect “welcoming tourism” alternative punishments of confiscating equipment, or putting them on next plane home, instead of “straight to jail”

As a San Diegan, I wish this were true. We’ve got 3 major military bases, the population to staff them, and the retired officers/enlisted folks that set down roots here when they were active. When I was a kid, I thought it was so cool that Top Gun was set here. Now, not so much.
