While I am furious with both, I’m still angrier at the rulers. In most cases, the perpetrator is more to blame than the enabler.
The part that makes it worse is those in power know that critical thinking and good circumstances make it so people can think for themselves and take action if needed. Making it incredibly hard to just survive (housing, food, transportation) and access good healthcare is by design. Making a good education more difficult to attain by way of underfunding public schools in poorer districts and making college difficult to afford is again by design.
Yes, in the end many people voted for this, but putting people as a whole in crisis situations and making them more susceptible to believing lies is unfortunately quite effective at manipulating them, even against their own interests.
In my own experience living in a red state, it is possible for some of these people to change their views. Some of them are good people, just misguided. The more people see that us working class folks need to fight the same fight, the better.
