The US is officially a joke and a failing nation. Even if we somehow managed to get someone like Bernie in in 2028, I don’t see our country ever coming back from this. We were already on our way out, but now we’re going to become a pariah state.
You’re right. The lack of media literacy and feeling of political apathy have totally fucked us. People are so beaten down they can’t even be bothered to try to do the bare minimum to get people who will actually advocate for change into office. Really disheartening to see for those of us who are paying attention and saw all the warning signs coming for years.
