        Why is it we send things by car and it’s a shipment, but we send things by ship and it’s cargo?

      The technical term is “Input Device.” Controller is what people use as the common name because you use the device to “control” whats on the screen. A TV Remote is also called a “Television Remote Controller” for this reason.
