Are rangers responsible for prescription burns?
I understand why they targeted other agencies, but still don’t fully understand why they did this to rangers.
If they do, then perhaps this is his attempt to make fires in California worse.
California has a lot of land that is designated as federal parks.
The entire goal is to smash as much of the federal government as possible before anyone stops them. If you break everything govt does then sell off those duties to an unregulated 3rd party there’s a metric shit ton of money that can be extracted from public assets and formerly public services that are now a revenue stream for whichever billionaire buddy you feel like handing those contracts to.
Literally a smash and grab of OUR assets.
To everyone reading this comment: call AND email your reps, also find local protest. I recommend Indivisible and they likely have a local group in your area.
I’ve already been to one in my area with them and hundreds of people showed up. There were 2 in my area that day, 1 on each side of the metro area (technically 2 cities that smashed together and are in 2 different states) the larger area had over a thousand show up. We both made the local news and got a HUGE influx of more people involved.
There is no rhyme or reason. These aren’t strategic cuts. They’re “fuck you” cuts. Maximum pain and minimal gain.
