Ken Martin, the new DNC chair, has begun his first multistate tour on Monday, visiting key swing and red states including Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas, and Missouri.
His itinerary includes meetings with union representatives, state party chairs, and door-knocking for a special election candidate near Pittsburgh.
A former Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL) leader, Martin said the tour aims to reconnect with diverse voters, rebuild the party’s brand after recent losses, and aggressively counter policies and misinformation from Trump and others.
So the elected chairman of the DNC “takes over” the party, but the legacy media can’t say that about an actual fascist dictator. Got it.
Also, when you’re installed by the establishment, you’re not taking over anything.

The DNC needs to die and make room for a leftist party
The US runs on a two party system, your options are:
- Reform the DNC from the inside
- Accept the status quo
You’re welcome to hold that opinion but you can’t claim it’s supported by history; we’ve had political parties die and be replaced plenty of times before.
I would argue the conditions necessary for a similar event to the collapse of the Whigs simply do not exist anymore. You’re never going to peel enough people off with the level of ideological polarization that we have now.
