not much of a plan. ‘lets tax the billionaires out of existence’'… yeah we all know that, but implementation is the real issue we have yet to solve for.

its hard to pass laws against rich people when rich people are the ones in control of passing laws.

lets tax the billionaires out of existence

Yeah “tax”. That’s the word. Sure is the word I’m sure we’ve all been thinking of. Must be.

The slap chop has to be at most, 2.5m in diameter. That’s not really that big. I’m just saying, building a slap chop of that size is pretty simple. Could even get hydraulics so you don’t have to have ten buff guys at the top pushing the slapper down.

I’m not sure what I would use that big of a slap chop on though. Maybe a really big salad, or a giant egg?

Unfortunately, I think it won’t happen until there’s a revolution. Looking at France, 1789.

Even that is just a stop gap. Look at France today. Revolutions, long-term rarely ever worked out that well. How about iran, North korea, russia, china, even the United states?

The problem with revolutions is that ignorant people see them as a quick fix to everything that’s wrong. But without a fundamental change to society culture and human thinking in general. Things will sooner or later and go back to being brutally dictated by a few with undeserved wealth and influence. Fundamental changes that themselves cannot be brought about by revolution. Fundamental changes that do not need Revolution to be brought about. Fundamental changes that any Revolution is useless without.

Killing people is easy. Changing Minds is hard. But until we change Minds there will always be another must for Hitler eager to fill the void

Also it doesn’t matter if the rich people just give themselves access to the taxation funds.

The only way to create a world without billionaires is to kill each one publicly. They will not allow the government to tax them out of their billionaire status. Some will give up their ill gotten gains to save their skin. The rest are fuel.

        The mods didn’t like it.

I guess billionaires using their wealth to destroy our lives by hoarding resources, increasing housing and healthcare costs, and pitting workers against each other to fight for scraps is not inherantly violent. Mods are enforcing billionaire propaganda.

    Humanity sucks at plans.

Love Death and Robots Episode 6 ‘When The Yogurt Took Over’ got it right:

If a super intelligent species were to lay out a perfect plan to solve all of humanities problems and allow us to prosper happily: we’d immediately deviate, fuck it up, and cause that species to give up and abandon us to our endless troubles.

As a species; we relentlessly seek out problems to make our own, and more often than not find them.

I believe a crucial aspect they’re overlooking is the responsibility that comes with wealth. A small business may have a minimal impact on the world around it, but as a business grows larger, its influence increases significantly, and the rules governing it should reflect that. Any private or public business with a substantial impact should be required to have a supervisory board that includes representatives from the affected public. Additionally, ownership of businesses exceeding a certain value should be made public.

ownership of businesses exceeding a certain value should be made public.

That just means that businesses aproaching that value get split into two, with the same owners, via the same sorts of shells and offshore trusts.
