If he joined the side of autism on the side of autism, I’d be joining the side against autism, as someone with autism.

Fuckin’ right? Like everyone is entitled to their opinion on their existence or whatever you want to call it. As someone with autism I am baffled by people who are against figuring out the mechanism and how to potentially prevent it.

I don’t even have an issue with the way I think or act on its own. However, it’s fundamentally at odds with how the majority of society works. Sure in an ideal world everyone would be understanding and accepting, but that’s not how people usually work. I wish every day that I could just go on vibes like everyone else and not notice all the weird inconsistent bull shit people do and say, but I can’t. Even though I completely understand what’s going on, that doesn’t make it any less like someone is grinding a manual transmission in my head.

“Socialism is when the government does stuff. And it’s more socialism the more stuff it does. And if it does a real lot of stuff, it’s communism.”

Last time I checked anarcho communism is a thing as is anarcho syndicalism.

Communism has nothing to do with whether something is state-owned/funded or not, although I see how someone can come to that conclusion, especially since that is how it has been implemented before.

The basic definition of communism can be defined by the definition of capitalism, as it is an idea that was created as a direct contract to capitalism, much like how capitalism was an idea created as a direct contrast to serfdom and monarchy.

Capitalism: “An economic system in which the means of production and distribution are privately or corporately owned and development occurs through the accumulation and reinvestment of profits gained in a free market.”

Communism, by contrast, would replace private ownership with public ownership. This can be implemented in any number of ways, but my favorite idea is Prof Richard Wolff’s idea to force corporations to become worker-owned cooperatives, which is already a business model that exists. You’ve probably bought things from worker-owned coops without even knowing it.

Government ownership is only one definition of public ownership.
