    Why drink when you can use kava kava instead? It’s alcohol, but with less nausea, significantly less toxicity, less potential for interaction with other substances, and no hangover. Why wouldn’t you?

      Probably because if they consumed it the same regularity/frequency it would be just as toxic. Kavalactones will build up in your liver with daily use.

        I wouldn’t say just as toxic. I’ve found it can lead to dermopathy, a skin condition, and indeed liver damage (which isn’t unusual), but not any seriously life-threatening condition. Kava is, by all means, safer than alcohol.
