The US military infrastructure developed with NATO literally is what is locking them out of their south china sea expansion, and so on. And no I am not saying NATO are the good guys, they are just the imperialists that currently have their military super structure in place to keep others from expanding. If NATO dissolves, and the US leaves the area, we will see china start making good on their claims of land ownership not recognized by anyone, the south china sea, etc.
