Super mutants in the Bethesda Fallout games have been lacking in human characteristics and behaviours. I doubt anyone wants them to be do human as to simply be another race ala fantasy, but do you think their characterisation was a missed oppurtunity?

      miscommunication; by ‘more human’ I mean should they behave less like generic bad guys to shoot, and more like people, to represent their tragedy

    I personally think super mutants could be more tragic if you could see more into their human side.

      Hell, Fallout 4’s interpretation could have been so much more tragic if, since they’re randomly dropped into the Commonwealth by the Institute, what if they didn’t naturally join up in gangs, but will naturally seek out their homes with what little memory (or muscle memory) they have, which would inevitably result in them being run off in most cases and forced into their brutish lifestyles as depicted in game?

      It feels like such a missed oppurtunity
