Summary

Donald Trump suggested deporting violent repeat American offenders to foreign countries willing to incarcerate them for a small fee.

The proposal, shared at a Republican retreat in Florida, has no legal precedent in the U.S. and would require new legislation.

Critics cite constitutional concerns, including the Eighth Amendment that prohibits “cruel and unusual punishments.”

The idea follows Trump’s broader crackdown on illegal immigration, which a recent poll shows has significant bipartisan support.

Sounds like an excuse to put people into work camps as they perpetually wait for somewhere to be deported to. (Hint: The camp is the destination.)

Yeah this “proposal” violates literally everything about the Constitution.

This is just exile but with more words, which is not allowed under the immunities clause of the US Constitution.

Every person has rights to exercise due process within the several states, exile explicitly removes this.

Trump doesn’t give a shit about the Constitution. He makes the rules. Checks and Balances? The only way that resonates with him is the checks he receives and his bank balances increasing.

He will take every inch given to him.

And just to be clear, I don’t disagree with anything you said.

Next step: defining trans people as criminals

Florida has been trying (via the “child abuser” route) as a way to get us the death penalty

There’s already another plan for trans folk. They’ll claim it’s a mental illness and send them to RFK’s “wellness camps” to replace some of the migrant workers they’re deporting.

They said Hitler was protected by the devil himself. He survived 42 (or more) assassination plots.

42 attempts on Hitler, where as he and his Death Cult were responsible for almost 21m murders.

Trump doesn’t give a damn about the constitution, because the supreme Court will grant him whatever he fucking wants. When he can’t concentrate Jews, people of color, people of non-white descent, political dissenters, LGBTQ+, physically and intellectually disabled, and people who refuse orders to persecute the preceding people in deportation camps, he will cull them.

42 attempts to reduce 20,900,000 murders? That’s it. A whole fucking war was waged against Nazi Germany, but only 42 attempts to cut the head off the snake.

I can’t believe it. His followers have been telling me that he only wants to deport illegal immigrants! I’m shocked at this totally unexpected rhetoric!

It’s a good thing he’s too illiterate to have read Kafka’s “In the Penal Colony” and figured out that there could be a literal, corporeal form of sentencing. 34 would be a heck of a time.

Hypothetical… what if this is a coup by say Vance, or any of his underlings. The fact is the constitutional crisis’s of arresting a sitting president are all defeated.

We then discover he’s not immune to being deported for his felonies… and trump walks down the street as they ring the bell and say “shame” over and over again.

I still get a bit of a feeling that Vance’s goal is to sabotage Trump. I know it’s unlikely that this will be a good thing, but from his previous stances on policies and such, I’m not completely ruling it out.
