Pixelfed Smashes Kickstarter Campaign Goal on Day One - We Distribute

After years of hardcore development, the Pixelfed project is taking a big next step by seeking crowdfunding dollars on Kickstarter.

Pixelfed has been making incredible strides over the past few years, and has begun developing a suite of different platforms and services for the #Fediverse. After just one day on Kickstarter, they’ve already smashed their campaign goal.

But they still need your help!

    Interesting. I feel like that might be less of an issue for the microblog fediverse though? It doesn’t have the same problem with content generation

      Yeah, I’d say it might have more to do with the fact that making texts posts is a lot easier than making videos. It’s still possible to introduce too much noise, regardless of medium, but there’s a lot less friction when the medium is simpler and doesn’t require much work.
