Perhaps Kim Il Sung, and there definitely has been some weirdly intense idolization/hero-worship of Lenin, Stalin, Mao and Ho Chi Minh. Not saying this is all or even the majority of MLs, Maoists, etc., but it definitely happens. An example of this is demonstrated by the short essay “Why Stalin is a God?” by Alexandra Elbakyan on her website Sci-Hub.
Also the preservation and public display of their corpses is creepy and weird.
