Fires ignited in Pacific Palisades, Sylmar and Altadena, forcing thousands to evacuate amid a life-threatening and destructive windstorm slamming Southern California.
I’m over near the Eaton Canyon fire, and man has the day taken a turn for the worse for me. Power went down at 6:34 last night, and I’m not in an evac order zone… Just a quarter mile from an evacuation warning zone.
Spent an hour getting everything together in case I have to pack up my animals and roll out. Still no power as of 7AM.
The internet has been out since about 9 am this morning and my ISP just stopped giving any estimate at all about when it was going to be fixed 🥲
The power was briefly out, maybe a couple of hours today and we’ve had a few power flickers but fortunately nothing more.
And fortunately no fires too close to us, knock on wood.
