It’s usually their saliva thay you are having a reaction to. Cats clean themselves by licking their fur, so their saliva is all over their fur. Guess how guinea pigs clean themselves?
I’m gonna take a wild guess and say… Farts?
They lick themselves all over, and when they get old their friends help them get the parts they can’t reach
