Ugh. I’m sure it’ll sell tickets. But Punk is just not good enough to make this a banger main event. Vince was spot-on never giving Punk the actual main event. And that was 10 years ago. If they do this, they’ll have to cram it full of ga-ga and other nonsense so that Roman doesn’t kill himself pulling a good match out of Punk.
For his own sake, Roman ought to veto this. This could be WM27 levels of bad.
I disagree about Punk 10 years ago (about his in ring skill, I kinda do think Vince was right about not giving Punk his main event with the attitude problems that he’s shown since), but yeah, Punk now isn’t going to be able to hold up his end in a WM main event match.
