for me; its my millennial & genz trumpers.

they just had new daughters and their other daughters have started elementary school so intend to teach them a new word by saying it as often, as frequently, and as loudly as i can: abortion.

the more they exclaim and beg me not to say it front of the children, the more i will do it since i know that my ostracization is not on the table for them.

I enjoy children because adults lie. I also enjoy setting an expectation of similar nuance of technical understanding as I would for an adult and then being surprised at how many rise to the occasion.

The other day I was talking to a ten year old about the French Revolution and American independence. She didn’t have the words to express that she already understood. Instead, she held on hand in the air as if grasping something and the other near her chest as if sorta cradling something. I immediately recognized it as the Status of Liberty. I explained simply that it was their gift to us. She replied, “So we’d remember?”

I don’t know how to end this post. Do what the OP says.

      Unfortunately, this.

I have talked to the children in my family over the last 20 years.

My first cousin who is half my age… I told her to question everything! She replied, “that’s right. Question everything but mommy, daddy, and god.” I said, “No. I literally mean everything. Mommy, daddy, god, and everything else.”

I really thought I got somewhere with her. She’s 18 now. I got nowhere. I could be wrong. I’m going to try to spend time with her soon now that she’s an adult.

My younger 1st cousins once removed, I said similar things. Two are preachers (despite their dad getting caught with a man and coming out of the closet, destroyIng a 20+ year marriage), one joined the army despite everything I said, and another is attending America’s last snake handling church.

I don’t think I’ve moved any of them.

I planted seeds though. But when everyone around them is planting weeds, the decent plants can’t compete.

      Breaks my goddamn heart.

I have reached kids outside of my family, but way way way way less than I haven’t.

Still. It’s worth it to try.

This round almost entirely ask questions. Don’t make statements unless they ask you a question. If you’ve read the Bible then it’s easy to use it to support all the core concepts leftists share.

Be that as it may, you still hear stories about how “my worldview changed when I went to college and met people of different backgrounds.”

For every 1 of those people there are numerous kids who will listen to discussion and have not lost their empathy. Kids can be smarter than you think.
