If only the rape scene where the mc convinces herself that it was her fault afterwards didn’t exist this could have been a great story.
I haven’t read the light novels, but from what’s happened so far, I actually think it adds to the story. Some lesbians are manipulative abusers, and that darker side of GL is rarely shown.

The MC refuses to fully date the possessive abuser, instead dating the best girl without any hesitation. It feels like the midpoint, so I suspect the MC will make mistakes, but that’s a very human thing to do. That’s how love can be.
At the very least, this one’s better than some of the author’s other work. That one with the stupidly long title features a closeted homophobe putting up with abuse due to financial coercion. There’s also a pedo who’s awful behavior gets played for laughs. Yikes!
There’s some creepy stuff that is common across the Japanese Otaku community. There are cases where the taboo content is handled better and actually adds to the story (see ONIMAI). However, it’s a real problem that often gets ridiculed in stories themselves. It’s not ok and should not be tolerated.
