Man can’t fight any fighter his own age because he knows he’d be fucked, so he challenges older men out of their prime. What next? Is he gonna start challenging kindergartners to fight him so he can continue to feel superior?

Haven’t watched it, but did he seriously win? That doesn’t compute for me.

Yeah, he “won” against Tyson. Tyson looked old and weak, legs were not with him… Paul didn’t even go full ham, Tyson barely threw punches, and you could tell it wasn’t full effort for either fighter.

Tyson looked good the first 2 rounds. By the 3rd he was drained, looked like an old man, legs failed him, he was bobblin around in there while Jake threw jabs from distance and landed more shots. Went to the judges.

That first punch that landed on Paul’s face made him stop dancing around like an idiot… but yeah after 2 rounds it became just a war of attrition, where Tyson’s knees (which apparently were in a brace outside of the fight itself) just couldn’t hold up and let him close the gap and deliver any of his admittedly still-fierce punches.

I didn’t watch the whole thing but Paul’s shots didn’t even seem like they had any power behind them. He won on points obviously because Tyson was drained but it felt like even old man Tyson could have just stood there and tanked those weak-ass punches.

Disclaimer: all I know about boxing I learned from Rocky movies.

Taking in the fact that late 30s is already considered old in boxing years, an almost 60 year old former champ losing to a young opponent with decent experience should start to make sense.

Netflix should never be allowed near another sporting event. Ever. From start to finish it was shit. I would also like to take this moment to point out that Rosie Perez is not the first lady of boxing.

I didn’t raise Mike Tyson was a rapist until I read an article about this upcoming fight. Tainted my view of the man

He’s been an aggressive asshole all his life. I don’t get why people adore him but, hey, looks who’s president of the us again.

I barely knew anything about him tbh. I knew four things:

          • He was a world-class boxer
          • He owned a tiger
          • He has a lisp
          • He was in Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!!

I only respected him because he was one of the best in the world at something. I knew nothing of his character, which I now know is bad
