Some of the mobile Lemmy clients, depending on user settings and viewing configurations, end up showing Twitter (and YT iirc) thumbnails on the posts even before you open them and a few users have gotten inadvertently spoiled on things as a result over the months and rightfully complained.
As such, if I post any Twitter or YT link where there’ll be an obvious thumbnail spoiler it gets marked NSFW which is supposed to obfuscate said thumbnail on the mobile clients as a default.
One of those things I wish there was a different setting for but probably too awkward to code and have it work smoothly lol.
That makes sense. I’d think it wouldn’t be that hard to program in an extra spoiler tag, but I also barely passed the one programing class I took 20+ years ago, so I’m fully aware my thoughts are meaningless.

Making old school text based rpgs in class was amazing.
I honestly remember more about the dirt bike game I played in the back of the class than I do about what version of BASIC we used.
I just played the shit out of GORILLA.BAS at every opportunity lol.
