If Jericho is going to get eyes on RoH, fine. But Jericho needs to actually appear on RoH. Since winning the belt, he’s only been in recap clips and one pretaped promo. (And hopefully get him off Dynamite and Collision for a while.)

But, if those tv execs start looking into fan reactions to Jericho, it could backfire.

Which I normally wouldn’t complain about but yeah a promo does not make a ‘face of the company’.

The biggest problem with ROH right now is that other than Athena no other champions are on ROH.

I mean…they are, we just don’t think much about them lol. (Sorry the autism is kicking in for this one):

-Lee Moriarty is Pure champ, had a match every month for the last 4 months.
-Cage is TV champ, 1-2 matches on ROH monthly for the last 4 months.
-Dustin/Sammy are tag champs, on every week lately.
-Dustin/Von Erichs are trios champs but 1 or both of the Von Erichs are injured right now.
-Red Velvet is TV champ, has had 1-2 matches a month the last 4 months.

Athena is the champion we enjoy the most cause she’s fun and has a story. All the others are…well I like Red Velvet as TV champ but I can take or leave everything else.

Forgot Dustin and Sammy took titles, but that was somewhat recent. Before that it was the Kingdom who pretty much only showed up for PPVs.

Lee Moriarty was a good choice for Pure champion, but before him was Wheeler Yuta. Who defended the belts more on AEW than on ROH.

I’m behind on ROH at the moment thanks to working on my roof so I’m not sure about how Cage has been. Atlantis Jr had what? Two or three matches in ROH?

The trios titles had the whole unified but not really thing with BBG on AEW for a long time.

Mark Briscoe was barely on ROH for his title run.

I guess I am a bit out of date and they are trying harder to have the titles on ROH now. Which is a good thing!

Lemme check…7 since July (which looks to be entirely while he had the title). So 7 across 4 months. Cage has only has 1-2 matches since winning but its Cage, he’ll be on ROH for sure since he has been often.

Briscoe…7 ROH matches since April when he won the title. Compared to…well over 20+ on AEW during that same time.

A year and a half ago before WWE was talking to CW, before NWA was talking to CW, I remember Tony Khan saying he turned down CWs offer to put ROH on the air.

Kind of seems to me that through a series of blundering and baffling mistakes from Tony Khan, and Billy Corgan, somehow CW went from wanting any pro wrestling to somehow stumbling into getting the biggest wrestling promotions C/developmental brand. This after ALMOST getting stuck with the NWA. I mean, can you imagine???

No, seriously. Go look at NWAs website. It’s a glorified indy with historical letters, and it almost got a TV deal that was similiar in reach to Smackdowns first tv deal on UPN in 1999.

    Mind

    Blown.
