I don’t want an alt and I’m sure I’d be uncomfortable on a different instance. I just wanted the chatty casual parts. If they don’t want me, it’s fine.
It’s not that they don’t want you, it’s that there was a large amount of people defending human rights abuses from your instance, so it was seen as an extremism source.
