    I’ve always loved the insanity of 40’s~60’s era concept cars.

    “What’s that? 4 wheels are good? Well that must mean that 6 would be even better!”

    “Nuclear energy!? We’ll stick a buncha that into a car!”

    “Wouldn’t it be great if your car could detect a collision before it happened? Well, we’re gonna stick radar (in the late 50’s) on our car so it warns you before you hit something.”

      I really appreciate that those crazy and beautiful designs are ones that could only come about because of the prevailing mood in society at the time.

      Back then there was genuine optimism in the promise of technology to deliver a better tomorrow, and the design really reflects that.

      Design like that just isn’t going to happen now, because our feelings about tech and the world and the future are just so different.
