I have a few dvds with some missing their cases and was wondering if anyone has tried making their own. The problem with a lot of tutorials is you already buy a basic case to modify that already have the push buttons. From searching online I have found them refereed to as push hubs and spider hubs though there doesn’t seem to be a consistent name for them.

I don’t have a 3d printer though I will see if any public library has one I can use. Making it by hand instead of a 3d printer is something I have not seen done so it may not be practical.

I’m not sure I exactly understand what you’re asking, maybe some pictures would help?

DVD and Jewel cases are very common and can be had for less than a dollar, why make them yourself?

Its more not wanting to rely on new petroleum based plastic being produced reusing old cases or 3d printing a PLA based case is a way I can preserve dvds without having to buy new cases.
