I loved the premise, I loved most of the actors, I loved most of the characters. But, the writing was worse than usual and made both me and my wife, cringe. I’m still sad. It got canceled.
Yeah, sadly. I actually liked The Acolyte and didn’t get the hate.
One of the more relaxed channels generously said it was because there was no consistent lore or lore checkers/keepers at Disney for Star Wars.
But I dunno, I think it was mostly racism and other bigotries.
I wholeheartedly agree. The worst enemy of Star wars is Star wars fans.
Remember Rose? All of that backlash was pure racism.

Edit: Oh okay I looked up her up to refresh my memory, and yeahhhhh. It’s ironic since star wars culuturally appropriated so much in the first place.
She was a sort of side/mainish character in The Last Jedi.
