This is one instance in which deleting the thread is the best course of action. Many more people will see the gross but concise lies condensed in a post title than read your 3 paragraphs of corrections and sources

I agree with your first paragraph, but not your edit. People just get attached to their comments. Nobody wants to see their (at least in their opinion) meticulously thought out debunk slamdunk of a comment ending up hidden or deleted. Even more so if making said comment took time and research for sources etc.
Maybe you just misunderstand the meme. I have no problem that it was deleted. That’s why it’s titled. I guess I should just type faster
As far as I’m concerned, thread being deleted was the admin picking them up and throwing them in the trash after me and five other people beat them to a pulp in the comments first. I just wish I got my final word in so he could read it.
