VR enthusiast Luna provides new information about Meta Quest 3S, a cheaper version of Quest 3 that is rumored to be released this fall.

In March, promotional material with renderings of the device was leaked, showing a button on the bottom of the Quest 3S whose function is unknown.

Luna now writes, citing anonymous sources, that the button is some sort of Action button. In some OS versions, the button is used to switch to passthrough mode; in others, users are still prompted to double-tap the headset. In the future, the button may be configurable, according to Luna.

    If they’re going to remove the headphone jack they better improve the fucking Bluetooth audio latency then.

    I shouldn’t need a damn 3rd party dongle to achieve this if they’re going to be removing features

      Especially as mainline Linux/Pipewire supports almost all Bluetooth codecs, including aptX Low Latency
