It’s not as rare, it’s just people think autistic people can’t be pretty due to stereotypes and how many want to reserve the label “autism” should be only for those with high support needs + intellectual disability.

Note that a lot of autistic girls have fashion as a special interest, which makes things even harder to diagnose due to these very same stereotypes.
