Look folks, conservatives PUSHED for it with a liar war and a fleecing of the public in 2008.

I was 23 in 2004. That time was the WORST. Bush is such a shitbag and he ruined so much of our future it’s hard to explain it all. It was so bad and has since only gotten worse.

Me and many of my peers complained to our parents and they just fucked us further with simple stupid giveaways to the rich. They gave ZERO HELP. And continue to do so by voting for conservatives and democrats who also do nothing.

    This dude is spot on.

The most maddening aspect is how obvious the lies were about WMDs. I literally could not believe that shit was flying until it hit me in the face.

Succinct, with verifiable data, all backing up the main posit; that the financial and social situation of the young in the U.S. has never been worse. Every other generation previous to 2004 out earns the previous, with jumps in social benefits. Not anymore. They secured the bag, pulled up the ladder behind them, and are currently cementing the top post caps of the great wall of china that they’ve built between us and capital. Right now I can say with confidence and certainty that You (yes, you) paid a higher percentage of your income to taxes than the billionaire that owns your local NFL/NBA/NHL team.

Boomers sold their kids into slavery and are acting indignant about being called out for it.

FEMA Camps staffed by the Obama Death Panels is the solution.

I don’t think social media use by kids can be contained any more than drugs, video games, outdoors mischief or any of the other coping methods kids use in a society that forces their parents to work to exhaustion.

Maybe more social programs, shorter work hours so parents can actually engage their kids, and community efforts to engage kids will pull them from their coping methods of choice.

As it is, social media is restricted to 13+ (since most platforms rather do that than child-safe their platforms – there are standards) but kids nationwide (if not worldwide) just lie about their age as they do with porn access. For a while this was a major source of (unenforced) CFAA violations.

Here in the US not even the Democratic party is going to help us change to a society that cares for and protects our kids, and all but criminalizes our teens, so until there is a radical sweep and reform of societal norms, our kids are just screwed.

The first step is recognizing that you may love your kid, but our society collectively hates all minor demographics and treats them as a market to exploit, or a pest. This has been the case prior to the boomers and makes for an intergenerational mental health crisis.
