I woke up before 7:30 this morning feeling refreshed and happy.

    This never happens to me.

Preatty good. Finally I will have safe place to sleep tomorrow. Yesterday I got screen replacement for e-reader delivered. I just need to buy double sided tape, and I can repair it.

Been working all nighters since Friday and napping where I can. Crunch time on a big project at work. BUT I finally finished it 30 minutes ago, so it’s gonna be a good day.

Overall good. I went out on a date night with my wife last night. I did drink too much and I’m very tired now, but that might just me being old. I am excited to watch the new X-Men 97 later. I haven’t been this excited about a cartoon in a long time.

Does one need to have watched the original X-Men to appreciate the new one? I started '97 last night and it began by explaining the death of a certain character, which I was taken aback by. I turned it off and figured I should watch the original first.

No you don’t need to watch the original first. You will miss a bunch of Easter eggs, but it does take away from the show.

If you really want to, you can watch the season finale and it will explain the spoiler that made you stop watching. I do recommend watch the original series, but it isn’t needed.

Not great to be honest. Recently I’ve had a number of issues with work, some of them my fault some not, from “funny” moments to being threatened with physical violence and the worst customer complaint I ever got, which was unjustified and basically down to that customer being a crazy old lady.

I think I’m about to tell my biggest client I’m moving on from working with them so I can focus my business on other things and it’s stressing me out, kind of the same feeling as when you have to dump your first girlfriend and scared of what’s gonna come next but know you have to.

It’s never fun to be in the position of needing to fire a client, but I’ve been there. Trust that it’s the best for your company’s long-term success. Things will proceed much more smoothly without their roadblocks.

Thanks, you’re completely right. It should be an easy decision, it was always the plan to pivot the business to more fulfilling niches eventually but it’s stressful to let stable income go away. I can’t focus on the next steps while tied down to them, they keep me too busy.

I have been sick since April 1st and have terrible laryngitis. I’ve never been off work so much in my entire life. It feels weird. Like it’s nice to rest, but it just feels unnatural to just work my night job. I have to have a return to work meeting tomorrow, but no way I’m ready, I can barely speak.

Hope you feel better. Also you should take care of yourself more. I don’t know you, but just in case you need to hear it.

I used to never take care of myself untill I realized that is the only way to be taken care of. Everyone else is busy with their own life. I left work early today because I felt too tired. I know that’s not possible for some people, but just like in WoW. “You do zero DPS when you’re dead.” Make sure you take care of your star player. (That’s you)

Thank you. I actually have been off work like 10 days and plan to stay off most of next week too until I get my voice back. Last time I had laryngitis I didn’t get sick pay and I worked all through it, and it just ended up going on for six weeks that way. No more. I’ll take it easy and only return when I’m at my best.

Kind of bad. I shouldn’t complain but I wish I could fast forward a month or so. :(
