There is a rather large contingent on the internet, and here on lemmy in particular, out to spread FUD to demoralize the american populace in hopes of discouraging them from voting. With that in mind, and considering the same profiles spread the same nearly exclusively anti-biden propaganda, and the same exact ones jump in to the others defense… methinks the lady doth protest too much.

mere weeks ago i pointed out how biden campaigned on queer rights in 2020, then once in office basically told us screw off and he’d get to us when he got to us. no action taken, and not another word about us until it was panderin’ time again.
literally any deviation from “blue no matter who” is perceived as concern trolling. maybe if y’all would stop getting up every ass belonging to anyone expressing the vaguest whiff of criticism and spinning any departure from DNC-approved messaging as nefarious fascist propaganda then we could get anywhere in any discussion. as it is it’s impossible to have any kind of discussion with nuance.

U want to push the dems left but given how they have literally adopted social stances that were political suicide mere decades ago now that the public consciousness has licked up on em, id say the dems are at the very least concerned with keeping up with some sort dialogue withthe masses. The opposition meanwhile intends to pass project 2025. In FPTP, those are our only options and shitting on the only viable candidate that doesnt intend to rid us of our only semblance of democracy isnt helping.
You want something further left, please, by all means take up some form of direct action and set up systems of mutual aid. But shitposting on the internet only serves to influence the young and impressionable into disengaging from the political process.
