Two birds, one stone. Data mining and narrative shaping are probably more profitable and easier without competitors.
And blah, that og poster is a total tankie
It’s not that I approve of tankies, but I find it interesting that we’re conditioned to lash out at them, while neoliberals are at least just as bad, and are a clearer, more present threat.
At least tankies ostensibly seek equity as a goal, and this provides for opening up a meaningful dialogue, whereas neolibs are rotten to the core.
Right, it’s almost funny how consistently
tankiesauthoritarians trot out bad faith trolls. But yeah, it sucks to talk with both.Tankies and neolibs seek equity and provide meaningful discourse like a pig turns feed into chocolate. At least, I think that’s what their gifs were.
On the bright side, I’ve personally known some tankies on discord who came to realize the flaws in their worldview after being exposed to a bit more theory and conversations with anarchists.
I think people who are tankies correctly recognize that capitalism is inherently inequitable, then they correctly recognize that communist states have been vastly misrepresented by western propaganda, but where they go wrong is in believing these oppressive regimes can lead to an equitable society and fully realized communism. I myself wrestled with this for some time, so I feel far more hopeful that a tankie can see the error of their ways than a neoliberal, because the thing with neoliberals is they realize their personal comfort relies on the suffering and exploitation of others, but they have no interest in correcting this, unless it is convenient for them to do so and costs them nothing.
Both are genocide deniers. Go to any politics commmunity on .world, and the threads are absolutely lousy with genocide deniers and apologists.
