these originate from Straßburg and just look like they where based on Sportscars… and I love it!

    I do adore more Community focused streets like these. It has a very warm and welcoming feel to it. We got quite a few of these in Berlin and around me… but I can assure you, you don’t want cobblestone roads or walkways… as either Drivers or Cyclists… its not a fun experience to use. hell even as a pedestrian I dislike walking on them. Which sucks because I love their astetics!

      Great point about cobblestone on roads, I do agree its a little tricky to both walk and cycle on. Driving though i would support it on low speed & high pedestrianized areas, acting as a way to alert a driver to act more alert to their surroundings.

      Though I do find it’s a good application in what’s shown in the photo under the tramways. The pedestrian paths also appear to be stone tile at the same level as the tramways, which is great IMO.

      The cobblestone almost acts as a way to keep pedestrian traffic off the tramways, but does not fully discourage it like a paved road would, allowing pedestrians to cross quickly as needed.
