We’re so addicted to convenience, and the only way people will wake up from their consumption-hypnosis, is through forced inconvenience.
It sure as hell will be inconvenient when people have to evacuate their homes due to increasing amounts of extreme weather. Or food shortages. Or resource wars. Or serious supply chain/economic issues. Or ever increasing heatwaves. Or flooding.
