In addition to the obvious outrage, pay attention, too, to how hard the Philadelphia PD is working to make sure you don’t know what happened. It’s been almost a month, and they still haven’t shown anyone but themselves the bodycam footage.

They promised to show the video to the dead man’s family, but then said, nah.

We still wouldn’t know what had happened, if not for a neighbor with a security cam running.

It obliterates the old canard that “one bad apple doesn’t spoil the whole bunch,” when the whole bunch is doing all they can to protect the bad apple.

    Dial was already fired for insubordination after refusing to participate in the Department’s internal investigation. Dial “has the full support of the Fraternal Order of Police,” according to Fortunato Perri, a legal representative.

    This is why ACAB.

      The Fraternal Order of Police should be forcing members to follow reasonable practices, like complying with internal investigations.
