    It’s not that simple. It’s not just “how hard are the fights”, it’s also “how big is the difficulty gap between the easy and hard fights?”

    Take me for example. I struggle with the difficulty in DoS games, not because the fights are too difficult, but because the difficult fights are too difficult. If I turn the game on to easy, then I can manage the difficult fights fine, but then every other fight just becomes an annoying grind that bore me to tears.

    What I need isn’t a slider that just moves difficulty up and down. What I need is a slider that reduces the difficulty “dynamic range”
